Bingo Britain: What you should know — and which alternatives are worth it

My nan always went to Great Yarmouth for a week every summer, and no matter what else happened on her holiday, she never missed an evening of bingo at the Palace on Church Plain. So when a reader asked me last week whether Bingo Britain was "one of the big networks or something smaller", it brought those memories straight back. I visited the website, scrolled down to the bottom of the page and checked the licence. Bingo Britain is not part of a big network at all. It is run by the same family firm that owns the Palace bingo clubs in Great Yarmouth, and it has just one live sister site.

That is the short answer to the question behind bingo britain sister sites. ThePalaces is the only active sister site of Bingo Britain. It shares the same licence, uses the same terms and is run by the same company. A third domain, Bingo Eireann, is still on the record, but it is marked as inactive.

I checked these licence details against the public UK Gambling Commission register on 6 November 2026. Offers can change often, so check the current terms on the site itself before you make your first deposit.

Kayleigh "Kaz" Bramley has been comparing UK bingo, casino and betting brands since 2013, keeping a notes app of payout times and verification snags. Her practical checks — not star ratings alone — shape the comparison below.

Is Bingo Britain Still Open in 2026?

Bingo Britain Sister Sites 2026

Yes. Bingo Britain is available to players at bingobritain.com. On 6 November 2026 the site loaded with its bingo, casino and live casino sections, and the general terms were dated 1 August 2025. I did not find a closure notice, I found nothing about a merger, and I saw no redirect to another brand. On the public register, the domain bingobritain.com is listed as "Active".

Before you register, there is one rule to know. The terms say you must live in Great Britain or Northern Ireland, and you must be physically there each time you play. Residents of the Republic of Ireland cannot join.

Bingo Britain has been around far longer than most of the bingo sites you see advertised today. Archived copies show the domain online in the early 2000s. By 2013 the site already linked to the company's bingo clubs, and by 2022 it called itself "No Slots, No Casino, Just BINGO!". That slogan has since gone. Today the lobby has slots and live dealer games next to the bingo rooms.

This comparison is for adults aged 18+. Take time to think. If gambling feels hard to control then stop now and get free, confidential help from GamCare (National Gambling Helpline 0808 8020 133) or use the self-help advice on BeGambleAware.

Who Runs Bingo Britain, and What Are Its Sister Sites?

The company behind Bingo Britain is Palatial Leisure Limited, and it is shown on the public register under account number 441. The footer of every page carries the same account number along with the company details: registered in England and Wales under company number 02794499, with its registered office at the Palace Bingo and Casino, Church Plain, Great Yarmouth, NR30 1PL. Companies House lists the company as active and shows that it was incorporated on 1 March 1993.

The remote licence held by the company, reference 000441-R-103912-018, covers remote bingo and remote casino. Both have been active since 1 January 2009. The company also holds a separate non-remote licence for its land-based venues. The register lists the Palace Bingo Club on Church Plain, which holds both a casino and a bingo premises licence, and a second Palace Bingo Club at 159 High Street, Gorleston. The trading name on the account is "palace bingo & casino clubs". When I searched the register for regulatory actions against the account, there were none.

This is not a white label. Palatial Leisure Limited holds the licence itself, manages your account and deals with any complaints you may have. The About Us page says the business was founded by its managing director, Patrick Duffy, who has more than 30 years of experience in bingo, casino and entertainment management across the UK and Ireland.

The games themselves come from outside suppliers, and the game lobby is served from EveryMatrix systems.

The register gives an idea of just how small this family is. On 6 November 2026 the domain list for account 441 showed three domains: bingobritain.com and thepalaces.com, both marked as "Active", and bingoeireann.com, marked as "Inactive". When I tried to open bingoeireann.com, the website did not even load.

ThePalaces is the true sister site, and the two are almost twins. The footer of ThePalaces names the same company, the same company number and the same address in Great Yarmouth. The About Us text is word for word the same, apart from the brand name. Even the general terms match almost line by line. The only real difference is the date at the top, which is 2 July 2025 on ThePalaces.

Why Look for an Alternative to Bingo Britain?

Plenty of people like Bingo Britain as it is. It offers cheap bingo every evening, a friendly chat room and a real bingo company behind it. Even so, there are good reasons to look elsewhere.

The first is the welcome offer. On 6 November 2026 the promotions page at Bingo Britain did not list a welcome offer at all. The general terms say a new player may be given one bonus after registering, but no offer was published for me to check. If a sign-up bonus matters to you, you will not find one advertised here.

The second is choice. With only one active sister site, there is not much room to move within the family. ThePalaces shares the same terms, the same bingo rooms and the same promotions, so it feels almost like the same website with a different name. The cashier is also basic: only Visa and Mastercard are shown.

The third reason is a genuinely different site. If you want something entirely new, with a different lobby, different offers and different account rules, look outside this small network. My top pick right now is Sherluck. It is run by a separate company with its own terms, offers and account rules, so please read them carefully before you sign up and decide for yourself whether it suits you.

More Alternatives to Bingo Britain Worth a Look

If you like the idea of an online bingo site linked to real bingo halls, a few bigger names offer something similar. I checked each domain below on the public register on 6 November 2026.

Mecca Bingo is the closest match in spirit, because the brand also runs bingo venues on the high street. Online, meccabingo.com is run by Rank Interactive (Gibraltar) Limited, and the same account lists several other sister brands, which I cover in detail in my guide to Mecca Bingo sister sites.

Buzz Bingo is another brand with bingo halls behind it. The online site is run by Buzz Bingo Digital Limited, and that account also includes buzzcasino.com. The halls sit under a different company. You can find more in my guide to Buzz Bingo sister sites.

If you care more about the bingo community than about a link to real halls, tombola is the obvious option. It is run by tombola (International) Plc, and its account covers tombola.co.uk, tombola.com and the tombola arcade domains. My guide to tombola sister sites explains how that family fits together.

Best Bingo Britain Alternatives

Bingo Britain Offers and the ThePalaces Welcome Bonus Explained

There was no welcome offer for Bingo Britain as far as I could see. Instead, the promotions page listed three regular offers, all checked on 6 November 2026.

The Daily Free Bingo room gives you 12 free tickets in each of the 3 games in the Daily Free Session room every day, and the banner on the site times the session at 6.30pm. To get into the room, you must have wagered at least £5 on bingo in the previous 30 days. Winnings from the free tickets are paid in cash. The room terms on the site still carry an end date that has already passed, so make sure the room is running before you rely on it.

The 7pm Bargain Session runs every night from 7pm until 8pm in The Session Room. There are 8 games, and tickets cost just 1p each. A £1 package gives you 20 tickets in every game, so that is 160 tickets for the hour. The line prize is £10, and the full house pays £1,000 if it is called in 35 numbers or less, falling to £25 if it takes 36 numbers or more. The terms also say that the actual prize money is as published in the game. Drops & Wins is a network promotion run by Pragmatic Play, and its prizes are shared between many operators.

ThePalaces does have a welcome offer. New players aged 18 or over who live in the United Kingdom must deposit and wager £20 on slots. They then receive 50 free spins on Big Bass Splash, worth 10p each. The spins expire 7 days after they are added to your account, and you can only claim one bonus per account. Bingo, blackjack, roulette and live dealer games do not count towards the £20. The offer terms say it ends on 31 January 2027.

The offer terms do not say what wagering applies to winnings from the spins, so the general terms apply. They say free spins and their winnings must be wagered 10 times, within 30 days. Here is how the two sites compare:

Since 19 January 2026, the Gambling Commission has capped wagering on any casino bonus in Great Britain at 10 times. The standard rule in the Palatial Leisure terms is 10 times the bonus amount, unless an offer states otherwise, so it sits right at that limit. Bonuses expire after 30 days unless the offer details say otherwise.

How I Compare These Sites

The term "sister site" is often used loosely online. Some bingo review pages list any bingo site with a similar look, or anything with "Britain" in its name, as a sister of Bingo Britain. For this guide I only count brands run by the same licence holder, because that is the company that handles your money, your documents and your complaints.

Here are the quick steps I take before registering at a new bingo site:

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the exact site you want to join and note the company name and account number.
  2. Search the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) public register for that account number.
  3. Check that the domain you are on appears in the domain list and is not marked as inactive.
  4. Look at the other domains on the same account to see which brands share the licence.
  5. Read the general terms to find out what is shared between brands and what is not.

For Bingo Britain, the first three steps were easy: Palatial Leisure Limited, account 441, with bingobritain.com listed as active. Step four showed one live sister site, ThePalaces, and one inactive domain. Step five showed that both sites use nearly identical sets of terms.

Games, Bingo Rooms, Payments and Withdrawals

At its core, Bingo Britain is still all about the bingo. The promotions point you to two bingo rooms: The Session Room, home of the nightly Bargain Session, and the Daily Free Session room. The Bargain Session page also tells you to watch out for the Bingo King in the chat room. Alongside the bingo there is a slots lobby and a live casino. The footer names Pragmatic Play, NetEnt, Evolution, Games Global and Blueprint Gaming as game suppliers, and the casino lobby had a Halloween collection when I visited. Online slots in Great Britain have a stake limit per spin: £2 for players aged 18 to 24 and £5 for everyone aged 25 and over.

The site shows that Bingo Britain accepts these payment methods:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard

The general terms set the minimum deposit at £10, although this may vary depending on how you pay, and the minimum online withdrawal at £10. Withdrawals go back to the payment method you last used to deposit, and you must complete an identity check first.

If the automatic check fails, the company will ask you for documents, and the terms ask you to send them within 72 hours. If you want to withdraw money you deposited but never played with, the company must approve it, and it may charge £5 to cover administration and payment costs.

The terms are also clear about money left in an account. If your account has been inactive for 12 months, the company may charge an administration fee of £5 a month, and you will be told 30 days before it starts. If your balance is below £5, it will be reduced to zero. Customer money is kept in a separate client account with Barclays, and the company rates this as medium protection under the Gambling Commission system. So while steps have been taken to protect your money, there is no absolute guarantee that all of it would be repaid if the company became insolvent.

Safer Gambling at Bingo Britain and ThePalaces

Your gambling budget should cover all your accounts together. If you can afford £30 a month and set a £30 deposit limit on each of three different sites, you have really given yourself £90 of room, not £30. Decide first on one total that you are comfortable with, then split it if you need to.

Bingo Britain sets daily and weekly deposit limits on new accounts, and you can change them yourself. A lower limit takes effect at once, while a higher one only applies after a 24 hour cooling-off period. The terms also list limits on how much you wager, how much you lose and how long your sessions last. A reality check reminds you every 60 minutes by default, and you can take a time-out of up to 6 weeks.

Self-exclusion lasts for at least 6 months. The safer gambling page says it applies to the company's websites, and that staff will also help keep you out of its premises. So please do not use ThePalaces as a way around a break you have chosen on Bingo Britain. When the period ends, you must contact the company in person or by phone to lift it, a director must approve it, and there is a 24 hour cooling-off period. Complaints that cannot be settled with the company can go to the Independent Betting Adjudication Service (IBAS).

For a block on every online gambling business licensed in Great Britain at once, you can register with GAMSTOP. If gambling stops being fun, GamCare runs the National Gambling Helpline, free and confidential, around the clock, on 0808 8020 133. The BeGambleAware website also still has self-help advice. Only gamble with money you can afford to lose, and never gamble expecting to make a profit.

My Verdict: Are Bingo Britain Sister Sites Worth It?

Bingo Britain is open, licensed and run by a real bingo company from Great Yarmouth. Every night it offers 1p tickets, and regular players get a free bingo room. The family is very small: the only live sister site is ThePalaces, which shares the same Palatial Leisure Limited licence, and the third domain, Bingo Eireann, is inactive.

If you enjoy Bingo Britain, you should find the same experience straight away at ThePalaces, and it is the one with a published welcome offer: 50 free spins after a £20 slots stake, with 10 times wagering. Just remember that the rules, the rooms and any self-exclusion are shared across both sites.

If you want a real change, look outside the network. Whichever way you go, check the licence on the register, read the full offer terms, including the wagering and how long you have to use the bonus, and keep track of your total spending across every site.
